    Dear David, I have just listened to this and IMO thisis one of the very finest versions of the 8th [which is - to me - one of DSCH's top three symphonies]. Thank you very much for the post

    I agree - very fine indeed. From the reviews in Fanfare and Gramophone, Petrenko's 7 is a strong contender for supremacy with Bernstein Chicago.

    Petrenko's 7 must be truly wonderful if it is the equal of Berntein's with the CSO. Here's hoping that we see it posted somewhere soon
